Rental terms

Version 2026-08-15.v1

Draft. These terms are under review by counsel and are not yet final.

1. Eligibility

The renter must be at least 21 years of age and hold a valid, unexpired driver's licence issued in their country of residence. The licence uploaded at booking must match the person taking possession of the vehicle. FSB Rental Co. reserves the right to refuse handover where identity cannot be verified, in which case the rental charge is refunded in full less any transaction fees.

2. Insurance

The renter must carry their own full-coverage automobile insurance valid in the State of Florida, including collision and comprehensive coverage extending to non-owned vehicles of comparable value. Proof of coverage must be produced at handover. The renter is liable for all damage not covered by their policy.

3. Security deposit

A refundable authorisation hold is placed on the renter's payment card at the time of booking in the amount shown on the booking summary. The hold is not a charge. It is released within five business days of the vehicle's return, subject to inspection for damage, missing fuel, tolls, and traffic citations.

4. Permitted use

The vehicle may not be used for racing, timed events, off-road driving, towing, driving instruction, commercial passenger transport, or transporting hazardous materials. The vehicle may not be taken outside the State of Florida without prior written consent. Only the renter and drivers named on this agreement may operate the vehicle.

5. Prohibited conduct

Operating the vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or any controlled substance is a material breach of this agreement and voids all coverage. Smoking inside the vehicle incurs a cleaning fee. Pets are not permitted without prior written consent.

6. Mileage and fuel

Mileage is unlimited within Miami-Dade and Broward counties. The vehicle is supplied with a full tank and must be returned with a full tank; otherwise refuelling is billed at cost plus a service fee.

7. Late return

A grace period of one hour applies. Beyond that, each additional period of 24 hours or part thereof is billed at the full daily rate. Where a late return causes a subsequent booking to fail, the renter is liable for the resulting loss.

8. Breakdown and accident

In the event of an accident, the renter must contact emergency services where required, notify FSB Rental Co. immediately, and file a police report. The renter must not admit liability on behalf of FSB Rental Co. Roadside support is available for the duration of the rental.

9. Cancellation

Cancellations made more than 72 hours before the pickup time receive a full refund. Cancellations within 72 hours receive a 50% refund. No-shows are non-refundable. FSB Rental Co. may cancel and refund in full where a vehicle becomes unavailable through mechanical failure or damage caused by a prior renter.

10. Governing law

This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Florida. Any dispute arising under it is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Miami-Dade County.
